Does it upset you to see someone cut up something beautiful to make something else out of the pieces? I have seen angry comments on other blogs after someone cuts up an old quilt to make something new...and I hope I don't make anyone that mad! How about this: Let's discuss it.

I have never had any kimono fabric but I say do it! Have fun and make treasure! I too am a craft-a-holic! there may be no hope for us! Go for it sister! My rule is that if it's damaged in some way then I will cut it up. If it can no longer be used for it's original intended purpose then I start cutting! It is honoring the fabric/quilt/embroidery/item to reuse it.
But that's just my opinion!
